My mom and I drove an adorable old woman a block from the bank to her house today.
She was all dressed up, wearing a flower print dress and a matching hat, lipstick and blush, leaning against the wall at the bank sweating from the dreadful Windsor humidity.
My mom said, “It’s much to hot to go walking tonight.” Then the old adorable woman said, “It’s not the heat that got me, these feet just wont take me where I need to go.”
She had a thick Irish accent and kept calling me and my mom by our names, calling us angles and asking god to bless us.
I had to put my sunglasses on so she wouldn’t see me crying.
I never ever want to get old.
