Wow, what a week.

Fieldcamp on North Stradbroke Island...... what a beautiful place, some really nice places to go picnic, beaches to chill on etc. ...... but the locals, gawd, what a bunch of wankers (generally)

There are all these old school 4th generation straddie locals who are all really bitter that now rich people own much of the properties on the island and use...

i've got a Canon EOS300D with a 2nd hand Tokina 80-400mm AF zoom on it that i got for $800.. the lens is pretty shite but i'm not prepared to spend $5000 plus for a new one at this stage.. i just ordered a cheap manual zoom lens on ebay a few days ago its like 650-1300mm or something, comes witha 2x converter as well to take it to 1300-2600mm.. might be some fun to play with.. also got a 18-35mm wide angle and a 19-35 fisheye, should have some interesting pics coming soon..

sucks how you're stuck in sydney..

Sin City is a bunch of comic books written and drawn by the very cool Frank Miller, its very noir, stark black and white, with a little colour thrown it, the men are tough and hard hitting and the women are whores with hearts of gold, the bad guys are bad and the good guys aren't much better smile and now they have made a movie based on a couple of the books, its got a great cast and its directed by a fan of the comics and miller has had a hand in the production as well, so fans are kinda excited by the whole idea. so my journal was just me geeking out about wanting to see it so bad and they have just delayed the screening even further mad

crazy time things, makes me glad I live on the west coast... unfortunetly its the only thing that makes me glad I live on the west coast. Im glad that daylight savings is over though cause it means that I can talk to my friends over east with out it being way early for me or way late for them surreal

Well, quick update from me. Had a pretty lazy week, am in trouble, have to get my act together for uni.

Work was better this week, I think I'm getting into the swing of it more; having a week between shifts doesn't help matters.

Went out on Thursday night to uni bar, by myself, ended up meeting a nice girl, and finally broke the drought....

Good work with the lady friend!

Now that you've recommended it I'd love to read Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain, especially seen as I'm looking at doing an apprenticeship as a pastry chef!

Love the picture of the koala, so cute smile

Oh thanks for the link.
I think I might get some of those ones that clip over your ears, coz that way my ears won't hurt at all.

OK, How sketchy is this?

I live on top of a big hill above uni, to get down the hill is just a right hand turn off the street I live in, this takes you down one of the longest, steepest streets I've seen.

Anyway, yesterday, I jusp in my piece of shit car (Lada Niva) and drive down the road, I put my indicator...

I would check it out if I were you.. It actually looks like it could be pretty good. They reckon it's gonna be the first star wars movie to get a rating higher than a PG, so who knows.

I read about your car the other day but didn't get time to reply. That's crazy shit. And I've been to Lismore many times so i know how hilly the place is. My cousin used to live in goonellabah. I think that's it anyway.

ahh no man this looks better then the last two discraces lucas made and called star wars you should check out the trailer
