I was at Christie's tonight because of their Post-War and Contemporary Art Sale. Lot 15 was the big one, at 64 million (plus buyer's premiums, which is why the website lists it at 71 million). It's Warhol's Green Car Crash (Green Burning Car I).
Same buyer also bought Lemon Marilyn for 28 million (that's including buyer's premium, probably about 23 million before that).
Some people have a shit-ton of money.
