I can't help thinking that the internet is my biggest downfall.
Before the internet, yes I can remember that, if you didn't want to be a couch potato in front of the TV to make new friends you had to get out there and socialise.
These days everything evolves around a computer, almost every conversation that you have has some link to the net within it and were things really that bad before that this was necessary?
I never have been one for sitting in a pub alone with a pint and doubt that I ever will be. I could happily sit in a coffee shop and observe all around me though whilst I flick the pages of a good book. Perhaps that is something I should do?
Either way I have to break the cycle.
