I have made a website! I've put some words up in my hosting space anyway so it is website, but at the moment it looks like it came from the dawn of the internet. Currently it exists mainly for me to play with HTML and learn some skills related to my job. There is a secondary motive though. The_New_Scum reckoned it would be a good idea to relate my experiences of online dating on it, which sounds like a fun project. And also one that could backfire in the manner of "Bad Sitcom Writing 101". In case that doesn't make any sense to you I'll detail why.
- I've been known to write in a bitter and sarcastic manner. It worries me that writing about people who might want to make friends with Little Geoff on a public forum might lead to problems/violence.
- It descending into "No one loves me boohoo" territory. Is there anything more pathetic? No there isn't.
These pale in comparison to the real problem which is I'm fucking lazy. Although I like writing, but I can't be arsed to do it. Its a bit like my job. I enjoy it, but I'd rather be asleep. And I get paid to do that. Hopefully though is will turn out to be fun and I'll want to do it. Also I hope it'll entertain, so go here and have a look. Let us know if you like, I'd even appreciate criticism (aside from "You suck fag LOL" I get enough of that on XBox Live).
Onto more important things, last week I saw a movie that has the potential to destroy the universe. Here's the trailer -
The fim in question "My Bloody Valentine 3D" exists in a paradox. It is both the best thing I ever saw, and also the worst. Stripped of its 3D effects (or RealD as they call it) the film has no redeeming features at all. Every aspect of it is shoddy, it makes no sense, the acting sucks and its derivative even for a slasher film. None of this matters though because a guy gets his jaw ripped of in 3 fukin' D. Its a film built around one idea, violence in 3D. And its marvelous, right up until the point it rips the universe a new one due to the paradoxical nature of it.
I also saw recently "Slumdog Millionaire", excellent stuff. Go see.
Last Saturday afternoon I sat down to watch "Battlestar Galatica". Not that long ago I refused to watch the show as it was too depressing, and that was season one. It seems the writers want to redifine the meaning of "bleak". However they have kicked off this final ten episodes with a belter, it was stunning. I'm gonna miss the only show I've never managed to second guess.
"24" came back last week too with four hours of Jack Bauer awesomeness. Having seen the fith episode I'm hopeful that the decline that occured early in the last season won't happen again. They've set up a real threat and put Jack in a seriously dangerous situation. Seems the writers have gone away from the soap opera situations previous seasons have had and actually written us a thriller this time. And Tony Almeida is back, he's ace

Lastly, a bit about the new "Knightrider" show. I love it, it's utter nonsense but I love it. In the most recent episode KITT and Micheal Knight had to fight a Transformer. And it has this girl in it -
It probably won't last beyond this season, but if you want a show to watch give it a look.
And thats all for now.
