a couple of nights ago i had a heart to heart with a dear friend who happens to be gay. it was one of the most beneficial conversations i've had in the last year; not only did he help me put my love life into perspective, but i was able to help him come to several difficult realizatons in his own life. i know this may sound way too sappy, but we were both tearring up by the end of our talk (strange because we were in a very public place surrounded by several of our friends). i think every straight person should have at least one gay friend - it truly helps looking at life with varying perspective. on another note, i found out that another old friend is moving back to Stillwater from my other home over the last few years (durango, co) to start an organic farm on an old commune that another friend of mine owns. the news has made me extremely happy - i can't wait to talk to the guy and see what i can do to help out.

sounds good? Always nice to get an outside perspective.
