lately i've been thinking that brian oblivion (he has my eyes) should be a very popular interweb forum name. obviously, i'm wrong.
there is a near-perfect scene in the movie gridlock'd (replace the e and barely use thandie newton?). tim roth and tupac shakur are junkies in new york who have decided to clean up. when they finally make it into a public service agency to sign on for methadone they run into a pile of red tape. they become exasperated. the attendant gives them a pointed and hilarious speech to the effect that they've fucked up continually for years and now, the one day they've decided to get it together, they're put out that the rest of the world hasn't been waiting expectantly and actually has the audacity to not welcome them with open arms. whatever lesson is to be gleaned from this i've learned very well, over and over again.
i'm outta here having a non-wild weekend. seeya next week.
