Gah. Weekend was monumentally ok.
Didn't make the eye gig on Friday due to a combination of poverty, fatigue and nerdiness (got sucked into a video game).
The IX practises are falling into a routine at the moment, a couple of run-throughs of the set, some half-assed jamming and a lot of beer and banter. It's a kind of weird limbo we're in waiting to record this stuff and finally put it to bed, so to speak.
The La Quiete gig at the Subway was a laugh, got reasonably drunk and spent more time chatting to folks than listening to bands (xscenex!). After that, it was off to DJ at Void, where I proceeded to sober up somewhat.
Am considering giving the clubbing life a break for a month or so in April. I'm just wearing myself out at the moment. I'm only 27 and I feel ancient compared to the people who frequent that place.
Ah well today is a new week, we'll see what that brings.
