Recording went pretty well.
My guitar playing was a bit sloppy, but with the magic of computer recording, i got there in the end. Young Neil was, as always a masterclass in understatement and taste. The boy just feels riffs like no man alive. Our keyboard player Steve experimented more with sounds this time, and also laid down some tasty lead guitar in places ("Sleeper" now ends with a three-part harmony that'd bring a tear to a glass eye!)
One more evening of vocals and one day of mixing and we're done. We should be finishing it on next Tuesday. Based on the unmixed, vocalless roughs I have, it's gonna be a belter. Less Isis/Cult Of Luna and more (early) Anathema/My Dying Bride, but with a slightly more modern edge.

Ah, cheers, man, it's much appreciated. I've noticed the new layout starting to act up, I take back my previous praise. I really can't wait to hear the new stuff, you can't go wrong with My Dying Bride, but it sounds so much more interesting than just that. Keep on...dooming?!
