I work a lot, and I am in grad school. I dont have much time to actively go out and find women to engage in romantic fun times with. So like many of my colleges I utilize the interwebs to assist in my on-going quest for companionship and amazingly kinky sex. but one thing I have noticed which upsets me is a decent number of women's profiles say"dont message me to say hi" or something vaguely equivalent. They are demanding whit right off the bat, with nothing to go on but a profile picture and scant information. At a bar i have a lot more to rely on, as many of my sense are being utilized at once, but seriously how do you start a conversation with a completely new person without a hey? It also gets me because this little prompt of "message me if:" is an opportunity to be like "message me if you are into this, this, and this, and are looking for this" something to work with. i feel like "dont say hey" and nothing else is being actively told to just ignore that person. I get that they want to have a real conversation, to get to know who they are talking to, but I think it's the level of negativity in it that turns me off. why cant that say "tell me what books you like" or "give me a movie suggestion" something that would inspire me to want to talk to the person? doesn't make sense to my simple male brain, but i suppose thats why I'm online dating at all.
