OK, i may just quit the USA. After all, it just quit it's people with a government shutdown so maybe im justified. The point of a republic is that these elected representatives serve the will of the people who elected them, NOT corporations who line their pockets. and now they have shut down the government, costing upwards of 800,000 people work and pay, whle they still get a check. they have failed at the most fundamental level to do their jobs, why arnt they fired? why arnt they held to the same standard i am? i serve beer and if i fuck up, im let go, they have failed utterly and they get nothing, shouldnt they be held to a much higher standard than me? not a much lower one? it seems like people just simply shrug and go "thats the government for you" NO I SAY NO! that shouldnt be the government, thats not the right attitude.
I cant figure out why people are blaming the president for issues like this, when congress is the part of gov. which needs a giant overhaul. but at the same time, im shouting at a wall about this because how can we fix the giant issue of gov. being fucked f the party lines are so divided civil discourse seems to be a thing of the past?
