Bah, I hate waking up with a migraine. It would be better if it were a hangover, at least then I'd know i had a good time the night before.
So it would seem I have turned in to an old man. I am having dinner by 4pm. Most nights I am asleep by 7pm. There is something just not kosher about that.
So in other news i have a couple of projects i get to do this spring. One is i get to finish building some steps in the back yard. I don't really have to do this but I plan on making a small vegetable garden to save some money and have a better variety of fresh vegetables around the house. The steps are needed so i can get up to the area i am going to be planting in. I am also going to have to build planters as the ground isn't something you want to plant in. The joys of living along the freeway, the soil is so full of lead you wouldn't want to eat anything grown from it. But this garden will be a good thing as I don't do the shopping at the moment and I was sick of canned corn and canned green beans many moons ago.
My other project is to restore and old school coke vending machine. When done i hope it looks something like this.
I took it from the place I used to work but had forgotten all about it till I cleared out my storage unit. I was shocked to find it still runs but boy does it need some love. The inside is trashed from not being taken care of for about 15-20 years while it was in storage before i took it to mine. Where is had been at someone left the thing open in a building with a roof that leaked.
These should keep me busy till next winter. I am hoping by the time winter rolls around I will be going away for a bit. I will be flying off to live in Ireland for 3 months. I have always wanted to go but after looking to see what a week or two would cost to stay I found a way to save money. Get a place on a short term lease and just stay till your time in country is up. I will be saving about $6,000 and staying 6 times longer. It will be nice living on my own again. It has been far to long.
