i heard recently that a certain greek philosopher said that a life unexamined isn't worth living. i suppose that's what this is all about. but do any of us really have anything worth saying? i suppose we do. so here we are celebrating a holiday that in many ways is a lie. western europeans came here and took the lives and land of an indigenous people and gave thanks. well, no thanks. anyway i hope that all of you who actually like your families and want to spend time with them get too. and if not, then i hope you find comfort in your friends. me, i'm just going to sit here and sulk.
