so...the last few months have sucked for me and my family. I have tried to stay positive but that is not always an option. Here is a quick little run down for everyone of events in my life in the past 4 moths, the bad things and the silver linings that have come out of them:
1. The bad part: My dad almost dies, has to have emergency surgery and had a 1 in 10 chance of leaving the hospital. Silver Lining: He makes, and they find other problems that would not have been found had the orignal one happened.
2. My brother, a swat team officer, has to shoot and kill a young woman in the line of duty. Silver Lining: He was cleared of all charges (not really a silver lining, but it is the best I can come up with on that one).
3. My childhood cat (that was close to 20 years old) dies. She was old and starting to suffer, so it was for the best.
4. My dad gets fired from his job after 40 years with company. Only plus to that is he has a LOT less stress to deal with.
5. My job rapidly declines, my bosses take thing out on me and keeping me guessing as to what is in store for me next. It has made me a stronger person, and has taught me that you can not be friend people that work for you.
6. A fairly close work friend is killed in a car accident. He started about a month or so before me. He will be missed. This has made several of us a t work a great deal closer than we ever were before.
7. Today my dog had to be put down. I can't think of anything positive to say about that. She was my baby, she helped me through some VERY rough times in my life.
So, those are the bad things and the good I am trying ot see in them. Next are the thing that have gotten better...
1. My brother and I have reconnected after several years of not talking much.
2. My wife has a new job, that pays here well and that she enjoys a great deal.
3. I have made several really good friends in the last few months.
4. My wife and I are closer and more in love than ever before.
5. My sex life is amazing, It gets better every time.
6. In spite of the crappy economy, my financial situation is getting better.
7. My car is paid off
8. I am getting a motorcycle soon.
9. I got a Foosball table for my birthday.
That is about it on that end. Anyway, I just needed to get those few things out. Sometimes it helps to put them down in words. It also helps that no one in here really knows me so no matter what I say it's okay, I don't have to worry about consequences as much in here as I do in my everyday life. I have some great friends in real life, they have there own issues and problems ( I realize everyone here does as well, but if you don't want to read this, you don't have to).
All and all, I have remind a level headed, upbeat guy in my daily life. I have my family, my health, and some great friends. What more can I ask for?
P.S. RIP Bodhi (my dog).
P.S.S. RIP J Hawk, you will be missed.
