one never knows...

of course, there are a lot of other bands i regret not seeing in my lifetime,
but then i remember how lucky i am to have seen so many of my other favorites.

hope your birthday was good to you..
but yeah, i'm heading for the forty mark soon enough, so i know where you are coming from regarding that half my life comment wink

Short trip to Germany

My family is huge. My parents got divorced and both married again - a partner with kids. Therefore I got one real sister, two step sisters from my step mother, one step sister and two step brothers from my step father. All of them are married and most of them got kids. My sister married my step brother and got 5...

I saw The double life of veronique when it first came out...
but id like to check it out again, as i dont remember much about it surreal
this tends to happen if ive seen a movie only once.

however,
ive seen "The devils backbone" at least three times biggrin

and great pics by the way biggrin
testykitten:

Thank you!
i love trivia...
Sybil was kind of all over the place way back when,
i just remember a slew of bad b films she did over here in the states...
and of course that body of hers eeek
they dont make em like they used to huh?

i did look her up on IMDB, and she is actually shooting a film right now...
i thought maybe she retired or something.

I love "Rosemarys baby"!
i also think that Mia Farrow looks so damn cute in that film...

still pretty creepy after all these years (especially Ruth Gordon)
severus:
I'm sick as a dog! What shows up for me as a gift in the mail to watch in bed? Bruce Springsteen & The E street Band, Live in New York City. On the fucking day Bruce plays in Sweden and I can't be there. Hey that's good timing! Now I won't feel so miserable. Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you. kiss

I should be getting that movie within a month or two from my internet rental company.. i got it on my list!
i heard good things about it when it premiered at sundance.
and thanks for the camera recommendation, i'm gonna have to wait til after christmas though, before i make a decision.
biggrin
shellymc:
I love "Badlands",
also "Days of heaven"....
but yeah, a twenty year stretch between films is a bit bizarre!

and i certainly can seperate a persons personal life from their talent.
Two different things altogether.
I think Mel Gibson is an asshole...
doesn't mean i dont think he's talented (year of living dangerously anyone?) wink

in response to your five favorite director comment that is.
also, while i do indeed know who she is, i'm sad to say i haven't seen any of her films blush

Are you a slow reader or what? tongue Kidding. I guess I'm just a fast reader, and a fast writer so I have a hard time understanding that people can't keep up. Sorry. Anyway, maybe the kisses when you finally get to them are better than many others if you build it up first... somethings are worth waiting for you know, love maybe gets better with boundaries. If things are right there, and so easy, in the end, maybe it doesnt keep your interest up for long, or when you get what you want to fast, it also lose your interest.... but what do I know. ooo aaa
shellymc:
i'm not sure yet what kind of camera to get...
but right now i'm financially strapped, so it doesn't look like its gonna happen soon.
My husband has all the good photo equipment, but he takes it everywhere with him...
basically, i'm just looking for something fairly inexpensive just to record my own little moments...
not looking to be an outstanding photographer or anything like that biggrin
I think i'm just starting to appreciate it more these last few years (photography i mean)

ive always been a late "bloomer" tongue

Too long, my friend. Hope you are well, sorry that I have not kept up with you. Sadly, I can only offer excuses and apologies. Btw, last film seen I believe was titled "Barnyard" G, animated, absolutely hilarious. Even with children. smile
