"The prescience of the Matrix lies in the implied, intentionally or un-so, realization that the speed with which society and our world moves is so constant in its acceleration, the blur of it's progress and changing make-up has unlocked itself from a perception of change and connected to a static perception, and this reveals the present failure of the conservative agenda: the inability to equate their desired stability and controlled development with stagnation."

It had to be after 3Am when this got itself wrote this because it is known that it was after 3 when Brazil ended. That movie, with the guy flying around and his really bad fighting skills and the weird fat baby masks, must have led to this thinking about other science fiction and inevitably to the Matrix, which stands as certainly one of the best sci-fi stories of all time. But using the Matrix to identify the significant flaw in the conservative agenda is some SWEET ASS JAM!

Now there are other, numerous papers and reports and essays and books all in active stages of being written, but now a great new idea just cropped up in there like a new name for tomorrow, and anyway, not wanting to deal with anything already known and set up, quitting the job and coming very close to breaking off with girl just put it down in the book of swirling exploration and getting out and away. Climbing and not knowing if it'll be a fall or flight it all came out on the record player of an evening and purposed originally to be stuck home cleaning.

Upon waking the scene in the Matrix that was referenced could be recognized instantly: just after Neo takes his own jumping plunge and gets delivered to the load.

What's always been a wonder was Morpheus' jib on the Matrix as model of the world in the early 21st century used to keep the batteries plugged in. How do they continue to plug in more batteries? Maybe you can expound further in the later films, but no one considers the later films to be canon if they have any sense because they stopped being based on the Invisibles.

Possibly they have several Matrix'sesusisies, but the needs of running separate individual scenarios seems possibly more than the machines can handle. The resources required to run the Matrix feed and the upkeep of tracking down ghosts, glitches, and maintaining the failure-reboot cycle lends one's thoughts to the singular existence of the Matrix. But in the first film there is one Matrix, and into that Matrix each new little Duracel goes, so how do they prevent progress? They make progress so component, so kit to the day-to-day, that the constant flux of it becomes rote and awareness of it fades to a subliminal acknowledgment.

You recognize the world is racing away from you but eventually perspective gets lost of how far back you've fallen, and you slow down, and you let it race by. Welcome to the box holding conservative perspective.
