So, today I am 29 years old. Am I any wiser than I was 5 years ago? Probably a little bit. I'm kind of waiting for that upgrade to my brain where I am suddenly made an adult and am aware of how the entire world works. Does it happen all at once? Or do I have to purchase that plan in installments?

I get a little sad around my birthdays because I usually don't have great ones and the only really excellent birthday I've ever had was with an ex-girlfriend who ended up crushing my soul in a vise and stomping all over me with another guy. She married him, by the way. Heh.

So where will karma or destiny or blind luck take me today? I believe my friends are taking me out to dinner to a nice place tonight, but we'll see what happens. I'm crossing my fingers for a good birthday, and somehow magically staying 29 for the next 10 years until I grow up enough so I can hold off turning 30 next year.

Regardless, I'm painting right now until I'm too tired to continue. Rammstein is on the playlist...followed by Dave Matthews - sometimes I wonder how the Zune shuffler really works...
