i was in your situation not too long ago. i went with selling it as soon as possible. but then again, the market was phenomenal in MD. how is the market where you are? do you stand to make money off of the property, even without fixing it up? & if you want to quit your current job, & selling the house will allow you to do that... i'd say go for it. you can always take it off the market, if you decide to go the other way.

ooo... i sound smart. gotta love that Real Estate Agent of a mommy.

p.s.-- i know property values have gone up about 25% or more in some places in Maryland... i'm not really sure about the Hagerstown area.

god your story hurts my heart, all to familiar, and I HATE that theres nothing i can say to make you feel better...all those bull shit sayings they dont help.....the only thing that helped me was this.....think of the most annoying thing your ex did (for me, he always interrupted my stories either to tell them different or start his own, i didnt even notice it until the first day we met my new roomate, she hated him cause he kept interputting my stories. when he dumped me she goes "someday you will find someone who will want to hear your stories" I blew it off at the time. but i kept unwillingly dating then one time i went out with this guy who seemed like all the others. we went to dinner and i was talking about something when the waitress interrupted, after she left he goes "..you were in the middle of your story?" and pretty much ever since ive been happy) i know it seems odd but seriously think of the most annoying thing your ex did then look for the opposite in someone new, it doesnt mean that they are the one or anything but at least your getting closer

In my oppinion age only matters if you want it to. If you are looking for someone to be with its definitely up to the two people involved to decide weather age is an issue or not. I've never let age be the determining factor in a relationship, but I would advise you to make sure they're at leats 18
