Mmk. After todays adventures on a trip to Multnomah Falls I thought I would do a photo update. Yippeee.
Before heading to the almighty Multnomah Falls, Daniel and I drove down the highway a bit to one of the smaller hiking trails. Here we found Oneonta Gorge A little secluded stream that was tucked behind a giant 20 foot pile of large tree logs. Daniel being more adventurous than I started climbing over the logs, and I looked on in horror. My chunky butt was terrified to hoist myself so high in the air on such wobbley logs. I bitched, moaned, trembled and sweated, but I survived and made it to the other side. Luckily it was pretty enough over there to make up for my terror.
Next we went to the giant Multnomah Falls to take some pictures. Daniel didnt want to cross the bridge so we didnt do the hike up to the top of it. And thank god, because that would have kicked my ass.
Next we had our lovely picnic with homemade potato salad, Caesar salad, and Popeyes chicken. I think this might have been the highlight of Daniels day since he does love him some Popeyes spicy chicken strips. I have photographic proof of this love.
And then a train passed, and this face came provingwell Im not sure what.
And then heres me being not quite as excited about Popeyes, but excited about picnicking with ants and trees and all that jazz. Im looking so suave, too.
After the picnic we took a trail up to the Latourell Falls. Ill keep those pictures in the album, they arent that exciting. Although, on the way back down from the falls Daniel and I were discussing my fear of snakes and how bad I freak out over themeven gardener snakes. Just then, I look down the trail about 10 feet and see a fat long snake slithering into the bushes. I JUST SAW A SNAKE is what I exclaimed but Daniel didnt believe me at first. So as we passed the bushes I saw it go into I heard a rustle and ran before I shat my pants. Daniel looked into the bushes and saw a 2 foot long snake. I fucking freaked out and stayed as far away as I could as Daniel threw tiny sticks at it. It took me about a half hour to get over being grossed out by a fucking snake. IT WAS HUGE!
Finally, we did a mile hike to Ponytail Falls. You can stand behind the falls there which is pretty cool. What wasnt cool was the hike uphill which felt like death to my very chubby ass. I was so winded and sweaty. We took some pictures, but again, kind of boring so check out the album.
And then I licked his face before we got back in the car and headed home.
All in all it was a lovely day out in the wilderness. As you can see I was excited to actually go somewhere for once. Now Im badgering Daniel to go to the zoo with me next weekend. Well see how that goes.
Hope everyone else had a lovely weekend. Im gonna go be lazy for the rest of the evening.
