Riddle me this, Batman. When life is trying so hard to pull you down into the ditches, what do you do to keep a smile on your face?

I've taken a lot of hits the past two days, but keep on smiling. I'm curious how others stay afloat above the negativity.

This morning in my yoga class we did a 'reclining bound ankle pose'. Leave it to me to find this erotic shocked I'm not sure if it was so much the pose as the words "bound ankle".

Yep, that's the extent of the excitement in my life right now. Go me!

Today I work half a day and then go on an adventure in Ohio. For the first time since I arrived here I will journey via car outside of the Columbus area by about 1.5 hours. Wish me luck. If I don't come back I'm not sure it's worth the rescue party.

A bit better, thank you. I still am having some G.I. "issues" but other than thatI am doing fine. Started my tapering off of the bad things, so that is good...

Going to have Dave Coulier in the studio today (Joey on Full House, if you forgot wink ), so that is going to be interesting I hope... (How bad do I want to ask him about the whole "would she go down on you in a theater" Alanis Morrisette thing? Answer: A LOT!!!)

While showering this morning I noticed a few spots on my back were really sore. Upon further investigation I discovered two massive black bruises. One about 3/4 down on the right side of my back and the second below it just above my ass. I assume these are the result of my adventures around town Friday night, but I can't think of a single event...

I think I'm getting the Black Lung, Pop. *cough**cough*

Being sick sucks, especially when you can feel yourself getting sick. I'm going to do my best to get better today. Either way, I'm having to cancel my tattoo appt with MRS_MISHA, but it means I may make the SGOC Brunch (assuming the Black Lung hasn't killed me)

Yeah, busy start to the year, and you're moving, no? Exciting... smile

Yeah, I'm trying to start something in San Diego, but I'm finding that not too many people play anything hardcore anymore. Luckily enough, however, AnonymousMeaning saw one of my SG ads and said that he and I should try rocking the hell out. He plays bass and is also bringing a friend who apparently plays killer guitar, but is reportedly slightly unreliable. I'll be playing drums loud as fuck with these guys tomorrow night! S! S! S! biggrin

Anyway, if this trio works, all we'll need (initially, anyway) is a lead vocalist. And everybody knows that's the easiest bloke to find, 'cuz everyone wants to be a singer. wink

And I couldn't even believe that no one has ever remixed the Chemicals' "Let Forever Be" when I looked thoroughly for an alternate version a few months ago. There's a single for the tune, but the version on the single is the album version. I can only guess that the music press possibly panned that track because they thought it sounded too similiar to "Setting Sun" on the Chems' previous album. The two sound nothing alike, however, aside from sharing two instruments: the sitar and Noel Gallagher's voice.

Anyway, so I did a fuckin' remix of it, and it turned out to be 18 minutes long. biggrin

All of this and I have a full-time day job on top of everything else!

What are you doing? Busy prepping to leave?

Much better today. My luggage arrived yesterday morning with everything still in it, I bought Weenie Roast tickets in the afternoon and went out with Carla and Kelly last night for dinner and drinks. Carla is back from London for a week so it should be a really good week.

The Weenie Roast is one of my vices. Main stream rock bands playing all day...

You can see Audioslave for free--I think it's on Wednesday--at Hollywood and Highland for the taping of the Jimmy Kimmel show. But it's probably gonna be only 4 songs.

That Orb show my favorite show ever, but the mix of modern sound with an antique setting was just magic.

I go to special trips to Amoeba all the time - it's probably like going to church for me smile but i'm lucky as i always have a bunch of promo CDs and DVDs to sell to get credits. So then I can burn a $100 credit in 2h and I don't have to feel bad about it.

I must admit I'm in the Indie 103.1 camp, so I'll skip Kroq's Weenie Roast.

Did you see Front 242 at the Galaxy a few years ago? they looked so cheesy with their dyed blond hair.
