Wow. I can hardly talk today, my voice is shot. The Music for Relief concert was awesome!
- Crystal Method's DJ set has me inspired to buy vinyl and start spinning again. So amazing. I think I may have to head up to LA since I am off Monday.
- Story of the Year...not for me. They just reminded me of The Used. That said, they were very energetic and kept the crowd rocking.
- I'd never seen J5 and I was pleasantly surprised. They also had an awesome DJ supporting them.
- While I was previously uncertain about Jay-Z with Linkin Park, they fuckin' rocked the house. The Pond pretty much exploded when they took the stage together. I was blown away.
- No Doubt performed up to par, but I just wasn't feeling it from Gwen and it seemed like a lot of the crowd was not. Enjoyable none the less.
- The highlight of the show for me, though, was CAMP FREDDY (Dave Navarro is a rock guitar GOD)! I had been dying to see these guys for months now, but just could never make it to any of their LA shows. They had Rob Zombie, Cypress Hill and Gavin Rossdale as guest performers. They played Led Zepplin, Iggy Pop, the Ramones I think I was more excited about this set than any of the other performers. I can't wait now for their album and next show!
In other news, Im getting screwed for the first time ever on eBay. Ive been using eBay for over 2 years now and never really had any problems. Suddenly a girl that owes me $120 is disputing payment even though her item has been shipped. So lame. Even worse, I dont have a tracking number for the package. I think Im screwed
Anyway, Im still floating on my concert high. I need to go find some tea or something to soothe my throat so Ill be back in shape for my friends party tonight. Good lazy day since it is POURING out. Hope you all are having a fabulous day
xoxo
