you know its been a busy week when you end up working out at 2 am.
Had a great gig Thursday night, the first time I ever felt totaly in controll of an audience. it was so much fun. Making a person laugh is a kind of magic.
It was a tough night, but people got into my set which was cool.
It's awesome to rock a show. makes all the kicks, disappointment, fear, and silence worth while. I Got talking to a guy whos developing a sitcom with Peepshows production house, which was cool. got some tips on how to solicit mine. Plus the regular compaire of Jongulars was in the building so hopefully I made a good impression.
A new friend of mine, I've chilled with a few times at gigs (Shaun), was doing his second ever gig, and he stormed it too. He has a solid dry and yet eccentric wit I adore. I can't believe I forgot to get his number.
I'm spending a lot of time getting guys numbers lately.
I'm hoping to invite them all to Cool Schmool (Hollys asked me to organise it with her).
It was a tough night for a lot of the comedians though. My friend Dom, who is possibly the friendliest guy ever, had a tepid reception which particulary sucked as he's doing his first ten at the Comedy Store next week. I know he'll rock it though. With 150+ gigs and a rape joke that boy can do anything.
In business news I had some issues with my agency, but, skipping the boring details, they've now agreed to pay my company rather then employing me on PAYE. which means I get, glorius, expenses. result. Plus, shhh, but im liking being in charge of the design. We have purple (pink was too far).
Other then that i've been mad busy. I've written four new sets this week, two verses, rolled to two gigs and recorded my part of the first offical SILENT CITY track.
My friend has his vinyl release cue'd for summer, plus Zero Cypher are dropping there second LP. I figure I need to make this a year of fam music.
well, yeah, im tired, whats up?

Do you ever do gigs out Reading way?

It's fantastic that you rarely ever have a blog saying how bad your routine went down. As time goes on, you seem to get more confident, and be better received. I'm delighted for you.
