This morning nakedmermaid said The Wrestler made her cry and I admitted it made me cry too. I get emotional at movies sometimes, so what. YOU GOT A PROBLEM WITH THAT? Ok then.
So here's a few that got to me:
Across the Universe - the funeral scenes during Let It Be. I choked up.
Thirteen - at the end when Holly Hunter is trying to hug Even Rachel wood and she keeps saying "don't touch me", I bawlled.
Jet Li's Fearless - huh? ya, the scene where he's kneeling on his daughters grave and apolligizing to her for not being there for her. father/daughter scenes always get to me (I have two daughters).
Of Mice and Men - the one with John Malkovich as Lenny. My daughter Kyle and I cried like babies.
Special - when Micheal Rapaport's getting beat with the 2x4 and the guy makes him repeat "I'm a piece of shit" while he's hitting him. that was a rough one.
House of Flying Daggers - what? yes, the end got to me.
The Iron Giant - i kid you not. it's the ONLY animated movie to get me to tears. when the robot sacrificed himself, i don't know what happened. i couldn't take it. it wasn't that long after my wife and i split up when i saw it so that probably had a lot to do with it. but i did cry for a robot.
anyway, i'm not some weepy girly-man but i'm not afraid to let my emotions show. might even make me more manly. at least that's how like i see it.
