Twitmaster.
For those of you who do not have Twitter, or do not follow me on it, then you missed my little journey last night. I watched the movie Beastmaster and twitted my reactions throughout the course of the 118 minute running time. I received a total of two complaints and gained 6 new followers on Twitter. Someone tell me how that isn't a success.
So, I've decided that I'm going to do this more often. Instantaneous movie reviews. Off the cuff while I'm probably intoxicated to some extent. In order not to annoy anyone, though, I am creating a second Twitter account and I will not link that to my Facebook account. So, unfortunately, the only way you'll be able to read along as I watch the movies is if you add my new Twitter Account. It's ostensibly for the movie reviews, but I'm also going to be using this as my official Workland Tales twitter. Pretty bare bones at the moment, but I'll spruce it up a bit as we go along.
If you haven't joined Twitter, yet, you should! Not because it's anything other than a waste of time, but if you're going to waste your time, you could do it worse ways than spending a couple hours with me as I watch a movie once a week. Once a week? Okay, I may not be able to keep up that pace, but I'll try to do this fairly regularly. Even if no one follows me, I'll have fun doing it. But it would be much more funner if you joined me.
I've got a few ideas for which movie I'll do next, but I'll gladly take recommendations. I'm looking for movies that I haven't seen (the more obscure or awful the better) and movies that I've seen too many times already. That way I don't have to use 100% of my brain while I do this. For instance, I'm going to watch Synedoche, New York in the next few days... but I will not twit that experience because it's a Charlie Kaufman flick and I'll need to pay close attention.
So, come on down to my Tweeater and have yourself a time.
