Ok. I know you all know me as the 'Blog Master' as I post soooo many blogs. I know it can be hard to try to keep up with all that I blog about. It is a daunting task, but one that I know that you can all take on with the greatest of ease as we are all pro's at blogging and blog reading.
Right?
So now you are asking yourself, "I wonder what wisdom nugget will he impart on us now?" and that is a good question. One that is hard to answer. One that will take some deep reflection and soul searching on my part to pour out onto this blog.
You see each and every blog has a message, something that helps define us as an individual or portray ourselves as we wish to be seen on the "net". On the net we can be whoever we want to be. We don't have to be who we really are, we can be someone else entirely. We can change our name and be another person altogether. Isn't that what we all wish to be? Someone else for a while? Live a life not our own? Live a life as you wish it could be?
No. Not me.
I enjoy my life. I am glad to be me. I am happy where I am in life. Yes I have bills to pay. Yes I have debt. Yes I have a job that I may not love, but it pays the bills. I instead look at what I do have that is good and positive in my life. I have an absolutely wonderful wife, 2 amazing kids, and a nice comfortable house. I have a Ford Taurus and it is blue and i like it. I have a dog and a cat. I still have at least one living parent that I am very grateful for. I have good health and good friends. I am rich beyond words in that alone. I may not enough money from time to time to pay off all my bills when they are due, but I am still rich. Rich in the reward of a loving family and friends. Rich in the comfort that I like me. Rich in the fact the I know that I am a god person. I work at a job that doesn't promote happiness. It is not a happy place and the people there are not happy, but I try to bring what amount of happiness I can to them. I have always believed that you get what you give.
So I guess what I am saying is that is why I like it here in SG land. People here are real. They let it all hang out and be who they are. No pretenses. No falseness. Just real, genuine people. I may have to 'conform' a bit everyday for work, uniform and all, but I am never untrue to myself. I am always me. I don't do what is not comfortable to me and will not bend to be pressured to be something that I am not or could never be.
In conclusion, I am me. This is what you get. Like it or leave it, it is me. I don't demand you like me, I don't begrudge you if you don't. All I ask is that you be you. Don't be that who you are not.
