It looks like I'm going to survive..... I'm still sneezy and sniffly, but I'm deffinetly on the mend.... I met Albertine and Toy today. They were really cool. I liked them both alot. We drank tea, and sat on a bus bench in hollywood, and just talked about stuff. It was soooooo nice out today. It was nice and overcast this morning, and although I was kinda bummed that the sun came out, I was glad that it wasn't too hot.....
A friend of mine recently bought me a handbag from his friend that makes them, and I have to say, It has been nothing but fabulous. I love that thing. It has become my everyday bag. It is incredibly well made, and 100% vegan, and cruelty free. all of her stuff is handcrafted from start to finish in Portland, Oregon...... You should check out her stuff, she's a great person, who makes rad stuff. her website is: nullright here
anyway, I just wanted to share..... I love her stuff: I wish I had one for every day of the week.......
I talked to an old friend tonight. I've known him half my life. I want to get tattooed by him again soon. I hope I see him when I go back up to Oakland in December.....
I'm going to Oregon next month.... I'm really excited about my trip. I'll be there some two weeks or more.... Autumn in Portland is one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen.
whoever lives in the apartment below me has thier television on so loud it's rattling my floor. I'm really tempted to put a CD in that has really heavy pronounced bass lines, because this is getting really annoying.....
people are like vultures. they all have ulterior motives. most of the time they care nothing about the welfare of the people that they are using for thier own personal gain, either. I see it everywhere. It makes me sad.
so what am I doing in on a friday night, you might ask.... I'm hanging out by myself talking to old friends on my cell phone. I might go out later, but I haven't really decided. I like that I don't work fridays anymore. It makes me feel more like a normal person to have a weekend day off.
I'll be starting school shortly after the first of the year. That's my goal anyway. I don't see why I can't make this goal. I think it's realistic..... I'm studying massage therapy, and I want to specialize in physical therapy.
sitting here listening to the cocteau twins. It's funny how some things never change; like my favorite bands. I have had the same favorite bands since I was 17. some of them since I was 14. those bands just kept getting better, and quite honestly, while I like other bands, they still pale in comparison with my favorites. I never get sick of them. they still arouse the same passion and inspiration in me. Most new music really doesn't do much for me. but there are some bands that really stand out and shine. Like radiohead, Manson, and a few others....
I'm rambling.... so I'm gonna bail.....when was the last time you talked to an old friend? what was the last pair of shoes you wore? when was the last time you dreamt?
ciao, -V.
