ok...time for some update action.
Work is going...it goeth. Spent yesterday completly demolishing a taco bell. that was kinda fun. but now I am all sore. we actually dismantled one of those walk in cooler/freezer thingys. did you know that those things are just panels that snap together lego like? you can just unlock the panels and pull the room apart! neet stuff.
work is going allright. not nearly as busy as when I first got there. they may be letting me go when the season ends as it gets harder to find hours for people. I'm nosing around in other departments, though. If I can just maintain part time work through the winter I'll be fine. actually that would be ideal as it would allow me to maybe get back to school over the winter and also take some vacation time.
spent the weekend on the river..well saturday anyhow. Drove down with some friends, rented innertubes and climbed into a nice river (the Comal) and floated down. there were about 6 of us and we had a seperate tube for the cooler. it was filled with beer and I had a couple of liter bottles mixed with my preferred 2parts coke 1 part bourbon. it was a good day spent with friends just floating and relaxing and drinking. best of times. the only drawback was...somehow...rather than evening my tan out...my farmer tan seems to have gotten even more ridiculous.
Sunday I went down to San Antonio to visit my cat. He got hit by a car last Wednesday and when I first found out about it they were really worried for him. He had apparantly been laying there for a while really hurt. They thought he might have some internal injuries. Some xrays showed that he had just dislocated his shoulder and done some muscular damage...no broken bones and had a large laceration. so they stapled him up and gave him some pain meds and antibiotics and he's being lazy around my friend's house. he still wants to go outside and be his normal outdoor cat self..but we're making him rest up for a while.
he's lost some weight, but he seems healthy.
his roommate is a cat named Dog that is super interesting to look at and very soft. Noch tends to terrorize her.
when I am at home I tend to live at my computer desk. it gets so cluttered, but it's got most of my day right here.
this has been sitting on my desk for a while. My mom sent it to me. "Just Because" . My parents don't really understand me too well, I don't think...but they don't seem to mind.
well the work week is half over. got some heavy work for tomorrow. already looking forward to a badass bbq this weekend...and maybe floating the river again on sunday if I feel like it.
oh and I finally went ahead and bought a film camera again this weekend. it has to ship to me, which will take a couple weeks...since I bought it from Russia! I really miss my Pentax set that got pawned...but I can't really afford another set like that one, but I can afford a Zenit 35mm SLR and wide angle lense setup..so that's what I'm starting back with. I've always enjoyed using Russian cameras and I'm also seriously thinking about getting some lomo cameras soon...if only I were rich...
