to paraphrase George Carlin, Have you ever gone to take a nap in the afternoon and woken up after dark....and you don't know what goddamn day it is?
was on call last night, worked late and then got back up early for a short shift...thought I'd take a nap when I got home...but my body said."nosir...lights out and no wakey til after 9." I just slept through my whole Sunday and I am basically working through the next two weeks. guess I need the rest, but still. so ummm yeah....missed all the football games. guess I'll go back to sleep. *zonk*

I met and worked with several of the recon guys in San Antonio when I was out there this summer. You would like them; really, really capable and likable guys.
Pretty sure you will have to be activated to take advantage of NCPACE, but it is the best deal going. The only expenses you are responsible for are textbooks. I haven't paid a penny of tuition and I will have a Masters from one of the top five public universities in the country. What a great deal. My only complaint is that on the masters level there aren't very many choices of degrees, but then again, it's all liberal arts shit anyway--not like I'm an engineer or biologist... Doesn't really matter. I'm just doing it (like you alluded to) to qualify me for jobs that require a masters (and, sort of, to turn my nose up and talk all snooty because I will be legally smarter than most people). Plus, it helps that it is self-paced, self-taught, and totally free. It would be stupid NOT to do it.
The fact that you are a reservist is gonna affect you the most, I would imagine. I don't know shit about reserve programs, except to say that I know they're nowhere near the good deals that active guys get.
Let me know if you change your mind about Medellin. JP and I will most likely head down in December.
