took the day off of work.
went to dentist. just home. slowly getting the feeling back to my face. $500 to get this fixed, if my insurance will cover the broken crown replacement.
ugh.
in the last four years, I've had to have two crowns...okay now three...and three fillings that the Navy did on my while in Marine Corps bootcamp redone. it's ridiculous.
my dentist is great. he's like..."welcome. sit down...we're gonna do an exam, so let me give you some gas, numb your whole face up, AND give you a prescription for a week's vicodin...okay?"
well not really like that, but he does a good job of putting people at ease...and then drugging them up.
my tooth actually hurts worse NOW than it did before I went in, because he had to do some drilling and cleaning on it to redo the crown. his assistant gave me a temporary crown til the new one comes in...and she messed it up. it's to big so it crowds the teeth around it causing pain...and she made it to tall...so I can't chew without banging it. ugh.

I don't mind getting fillings, but my face always hurts after the novocaine wears off. I'm usually okay with ibuprofen, but they give me Vicodin anyway.
Luckily, I've only needed two fillings, ever, and now this stupid root canal. It's enough to make me paranoid. I'm tempted to kick even the occasional diet soda and start using mouthwash twice per day in addition to extra flossing.
We'll see if that holds...
and thanks for the house comment. I'm not moving just yet but loved the house too much to let it pass by. you're welcome down anytime!
