Friday: it's strange. it's kinda a crappy day down here today...cooler and raining and just sort of blah. So I walked out of the office and drove home. I don't think anyone's noticed.
Saturday: breakfast was pancakes spread over with Nutella. I have to practice self restraint around that stuff.
okay so I am (virtual) knee deep in digital images. Just about every photo I took from 2001-2005 was on my Dell laptop. That laptop and a couple different cameras went everywhere I did from Guantanamo Bay, Cuba to all around the States and Europe to Iraq and a few other places. Well shortly after I moved to Austin in 2005, my laptop just died. I'd turn it on and nothing would happen. It would just shut down. And I kind of forgot about it. A week ago, just for the hell of it, I turned it on...AND IT WORKED!!! I'm expecting it to die again, but I've managed to move all the photos that I could find on it, minus a couple of folders that are trashed, to my new desktop. So I am working on many photos...doing light and color correction and some minor fixes so I can get them all on my flickr account and backed up to another disc so that I don't lose them again.
fun times.

to add (again): was too nice to stay in and work on photos ALL day. beautiful day demands a motorcycle ride. so I did one on some twisty roads while blasting some Rise Against in my earbuds. good times.
