heading out to see Chemical Bros. here in Bucharest.

so..the Chemical Bros. concert went really well. It was cold and raining when we left, but I didn't wear a jacket because I didn't want to have to take it off and carry it around during the show. I figured it'd be ok. Then it started raining. We got a hold of a taxi, but the first one wanted to charge us almost 5 times the proper rate. But the group I was with managed to get a decently honest cabbie and got to the show before it started. The opening two dj acts were okay, but nothing spectacular. The Chem. Bros. act on the other hand was amazing well done. A really great light and video show and much of the crowd turned out to be knowledgeable and really enjoyed the music. It was a great great time. Today woke up early after very little sleep and spent most of the day trying to get to Brasov.
It was an interesting train ride. We seemed to actually go through the seasons. We left Bucharest and the urban areas into the countryside where it was clearly autumn with great fall colors and fields that had been harvested. Then less than an hour later, we hit the foothills of the Carpathians...and suddenly...snow. freekin' snow.
By the time we got to Brasov it was about a foot and a half on the ground. So now it's late here in Brasov and I'm wasted tired from a day of bus and train travel in the cold and rain...and snow. gonna read for a little bit and then go to bed....shall explore the town tomorrow.
goodnight.
