ok. I haven't really updated in a while. I've just been sort of doing the usual thing. nothing really exciting going on of the last week.
just working as much as I can and staying in as much as I can to avoid spending money. Work is starting to slow down as far as hours and so I have to be more careful...especially with events coming up including the Holidays.

my Halloween wasn't anything special this year. I went down town for a little while to check out the costumes, but didn't go drinking or anything. the master plan was to take photos, but I forgot to charge the battary. oh well.

weather's been outright gorgeous here in Austin the last week...again leading to less work...but I don't mind.

I've been kinda going stircrazy sitting at home when I am not at work and I kinda wish I could work at least a little time on the weekends. I spend too much time on the computer or doing nothing at all. There are so many things I want to be doing that I end up doing nothing sometimes. Still managing to get some Russian studying in (to the exclusion of the other languages I'm trying to keep up with) and doing my military distance studies stuff.
But I've gotten my printer and inks working so I've been printing out some of my photos so that I can put up something to go with the print that Katy got for me and the one that I bought from SG Annie.

Katy is flying down in a couple days. I'm very much looking forward to it. I'm not sure I've ever had any kind of normal romantic relationship. This only seeing Katy for a couple weeks every couple of months keeps it from getting to in-your-face too soon...but it also means I spend a lot of time missing her and wishing that she were in my face.

We'll be going to the annual formal attired Marine Corps Birthday Ball this next weekend. I'll be sure to get photos. She's gonna look divine, I'm sure of it. And, luckily, the Marine Corps has THE best dress uniform so that'll help me out. if I can fit in it. I've been running a lot to try and ensure that.

the weekend after that I get to fly back with Katy to West Virginia for a weekend of hanging out and meeting her friends. I'm really looking forward to that too.

So that's what's going on.
That and I've been riding the motorcycle a LOT the last couple days...cheap entertainment.
and I did go see Jarhead. It's allright. It hams up the Marines' shenanigans a lot and doesn't make us look to bright...but they got a lot of the situational stuff fairly accurately. I like to say a lot a lot.
