Hi all. Thanks for the merry christmas's and happy new years.

I'm leaving for Israel in 4 days, and I'm pretty stressed about it. I'm getting increasingly nervous every day that draws nearer. I've never been overseas... and I'm travelling with a bunch of people I don't know. Not to mention it's one of the worst "hotspots" on the planet to be touring these days. I've been thinking about investing in a flak jacket. ha. Not that that would save me from a kamakaze fucking crazy Hezbollah terrorist. Fucking Muslim extremists. Ugh. Don't get me started.

Anyway, as a history major I'm pretty psyched about visiting the "holy land" for its incredible historical significance. I developed this nasty bitterness towards religion in general; yet I have always found religious history fascinating, and have subsequently studied it extensively. I probably won't get around to SG before I leave, so wish me a bon voyage... and I promise to return with lots of pictures.
