Welp, I dropped B off at the airport tonight. We filled the weekend with beautiful nature-y things (she did the touristy things while I was working Th and F) -- Deception Pass with a whole crew Saturday, and the Bainbridge Island ferry today. Plus the requisite gawking at the view from my roof whenever we were here. She suggested I create a personal ad with a picture of the view from my roof, instead of a picture of me. I wonder if that would work...
Speaking of which, I'm supposed to be meeting someone new for tea tomorrow -- she found me on friendster, we exchanged a few messages, and I was intrigued by the fact that (a) she does neuroscience, (b) she seems interesting, and (c) she's cute. I don't think it's a date (I'm certainly not treating it as such), but I have that same little feeling of excitement regardless. For me, it's an opportunity to find someone new to hang out and talk with. Lately it's feeling like many of my conversational companions have been lost in the void of serious relationships (though I'll readily admit I often end up there myself).
