Well here i am...11 months into my first and hopefully last deployment to iraq. it seems like so much has happend, but at the same time so little. The days seem to run into each other and loseing track is inevidable (sp?) i have no idea when im going to go home. stability and certainty are luxeries the army does not provide. i miss everything. i never appreciated what america offerd until i came to iraq. i dont think anyone really can until they experience and 3rd world country. sure you may see it on tv and read about it in books and magazines, but to actually experience it is a completely different story. i never knew there were people in the world who actually lived exactly like there ancestors did back in the biblical days till i came here. shits crazy man. needless to say im ready to come home. im tired....i need a shot lol
