i went to powershift in dc this weekend. IT WAS SO AWESOME. i cut someone's hair for the first time and did a really good job, got no sleep, got to know my little ducklings in sds, saw a ton of people from all realms of my life, i learned such amazing new skills for organizing and being an effective activist, plus a bunch of really helpful information about agriculture, biofuels, the WTO, seed patenting, and so much more... i think the freshmen who went really benefited from it too. i don't even want to write all about it here-- there's too much to say! it was just... super fucking rad. and i ate for free all weekend. i'm really happy and can't wait to put together a leadership workshop for the group! : D : D
