so i may be feeling a hell of a lot better physically, yet mentally... well, i think i may go insane.
i will tell my little story/rant (scroll down if you don't wanna hear it ) .... hoping someone out there/here might know of anything i could do....
For the past 3 years i have lived in this quiet, cute duplex in the country. beautiful home. but what makes it is the yard and location. my backyard is huge with fields and woods. off to the side of me there's woods then a long field. i pay an extremely high rent for my county ($650 which doesn't include anything), but the way i see it i'm paying for my gorgeous yard. i love the quiet of the country so it's worth it to me.
so, anyways, last week i noticed there were wooden sticks strategically placed down through my front yard into the backyard, all the way down.... pretty much through the whole side yard from NYS transportation. so i thought...
"these assholes are gonna pout a road through my yard... hell no", and proceeded to rip the wooden sticks out of the ground.
this morning they show up again and walk around my yard like mindless minions, confused as to what happened to their precious little sticks. i went outside and asked them what the hell they were doing here and was told...
"we are in the process of putting a water vain through this ditch (My side yard) and will have to rip out all these trees (the woods next to my house... PRIVACY GONE) for the new dorms being built 2 miles away"
i responded with why can't they just dig and put the ditch into the field next to the woods... you know... save all the cutting of trees and such.
ANSWER: "costs too much!" arg!
.............. there was back and forth, technical terms, angryness etc but i'll just bypass all that...................
i have talked to their project manager and was told if i didn't take the sticks out they were going to take down the trees at 6am this morning. so they are delayed. but i called my town board, and that was a waste. so i called EPA. mainly because there are lots of birds, snakes, etc over there and i thought...
"hey, they'll wanna save all these trees and animals"
nope, i was told pretty much they won't do anything.
now, i'm not a hippie nut job or anything, but i care about this and my privacy. i care that i was never once told that these people were just going to come in and tear shit down. no letter, no call, no knock on the door. nothing!
i'm pretty much screwed. they'll be here in 3 days to do their dirty work.
it seems as though my one and last option will be to chain my self to a tree ... hah... too far.
so either i can stop this or i have to move. i don't know... maybe i am being irrational, crazy, bitchy, who knows! but right now... kinda peeved!
any advice or such?
but all in all life has been pretty good to me.
my new set will be up this thursday...
i usually work on thursdays but i kind of want to be here since i was absent for the first half of my last set being up. so i switched days with a girl
THANKS FOR READING THE RANT!

Also, I can't believe they weren't even going to tell you about the construction. Dick move on their part. Too bad I don't live in the area, I haven't had a good sit-in since back in my hippy days the first couple of years in college...
