So...what's been going on then?
I'll start where I left off last time...!
Monday 3rd March
Didn't really do much today, had a headache most of the day so I did sleep it off but tidied up anyways later on.
Tuesday 4th March
Decided to go to Gloucester Road at last since we haven't been there to go to the shops since we moved here! Had to get a bus into the town and had lunch in town and then got a bus a bit later on. Had a good day there and did really well, various items of jewellery and a couple of Blue Jeans annuals from 1983 and 1984 since they had some good make up tips in them and 80's fashion is my thing, actually I used to collect those annuals like that years ago,had lots of 80's ones and I had the 1984 one and I regret getting rid of them all as they are expensive online so the only place is charity shops for them and you rarely see them now! Also got a couple of CDs too, one 'In Vogue' by Japan and the Rain Tree Crow album(Japan but under a different name in 1993 I think) and we stopped at the little cafe we'd normally have lunch at for tea,so all in all it was a good day. Caught the bus back into the city and had a look round briefly before getting the bus home. Was a good evening too as well.
Wednesday 5th March
Mum had a church service to attend so that gave me some time to go around Park Street and at least being mid week the charity shops would be open unlike on Sundays and I did pretty well considering, one charity shop had a three for two on and I got a multicoloured necklace for free along with some earrings(one pair was very 80's style) and also got a discount on a cute belt too as it was damaged but too 80's to say no to! Also nipped back up to a charity shop for a cute bangle and back to a vintage shop where I got Japan's 'Tin drum' on vinyl on the cheap! Would have got a Scritti Politti album but I currently don't have a working record player and I only got that one as it was that cheap.
The rest of the day wasn't so good(but I must say a big thank you to Tom in Bedminster over something and I only wish I'd got his number but I had to mention it) so I'll leave it there.
Thursday 6th March
Today we were running late and didn't get into town until late as we had lunch at home and then it was a while before we got the bus to Cribbs and then it took forever to get there, heavy traffic and rain and then it went the long way and it looked like the bus was getting overcrowded at times as people could barely get on and off...we eventually did get there later and it was ok and went to the bigger stores first outside the main mall(which is lucky the bus went the long way round as it meant it passed by there first) and we know the manager of a coffee shop in one of the bigger stores who promised us free coffees there last time and so we went there and he kept his word and I had a good chat with him later too. Got a lovely fleece to match one of my duvet sets there too. Went to the mall later and got an HK backpack in a sale then nipped back to the other store thinking we might go back to get the home phone there anyway but we found a one on a better deal elsewhere and I had wanted a mug there but after going back it wasn't that good so I didn't bother. Nipped to the branch there of a store that we went to on Gloucester Rd that sold record players but wasn't what I was looking for and they didn't have the one I wanted there either but it wasn't a waste of a trip since they gave me some good advice anyways, being that I could plug the speakers of my CD and tape hifi into the back of the amp or record player instead of buying new speakers. So I planned to get the record player out of the shed when we got back. Went to get an HK mug with tin that was left over from the Christmas stuff in one store but they'd put it all away so never mind. Should have asked but I didn't bother. Checked on some lipsticks and turned out when I went back to ask that the offer had finished anyways so I left it. Got some odds and ends for the house and had coffees before a cafe we frequent was closing and then got the bus back not long after that and by the time we got into the city to get the bus home it was quite late by then so no time to get the reocrd player out. Had a nice later dinner and watched a TV programme about traffic wardens here in Bristol which featured Gloucester Rd heavily and I sent a text to Leigh to tell her to catch it anyways. Went to bed later after watching some music videos etc and it had been a good day anyways at least.
This is getting to be too a long blog so I'll update everything since in a separate blog instead.
