So...what's been going on today?
Been slightly an odd one but in a good way, since I thought it would be just a quiet day as we were getting the new mattress for the spare room delivered but it turned out a lot different...got a plumber out as the one whom came before kept saying he would come back but didn't as we had a leak after the washing machine was fitted, and the one that came out was cheaper, that's wasn't until after I called another company whom gave us a discount but it was still expensive and seemed very insistant we go with them but lucky we didn't anyways! Was trying to arrange my cassettes a bit better and tidy up a bit and intended to sort out the huge plastic folder of posters etc as it may look my room is cluttered but everything is (almost) where it needs to be and I've never been one for minimilism anyways..having said that,we have a huge IKEA here at the Eastgate Centre but I'm never setting foot in there...despite Alexwanting to take me there...it's the anthesis of everything aesthetic that I believe in!
Anyways, the mattress arrived and just before it came,we got a call from a couple(Sam and Aida) whom we know to ask if they could come over since everytime they've been over so far we've been out,and they came not long after the mattress came(hoped they
would come at the same time as it's from a rather posh department store haha)and they had tea with us and chatted(which reminds me I need to sort out the broadband since neither Aida's Ipad or Mum's Kindle can connect to it)for a while and it got to about 5pm and I thought they were going to leave but as we needed a special light for the bathroom(Sam saw it) they suggested they would take us to the hardware store to get one(and Mum could get signed up to a credit card for said store near there
where the mattress was from since they have one and said it's a good one)and the next thing I knew we were getting ready to go out and I had no make up on and only an old mini dress with leggings,so I just grabbed a bit of jewellery and my rings to
liven it up a bit, grabbed my handbag and we dashed out!
Next thing I knew we were on our way there and going down the motorway at sunset in Sam's car which is very posh and it was quite an experience...passed by the supermarket on the way in where Alex works, and got to the hardware store and found a 2 pack of the bulbs that looked right,so we got them and headed to the department store nearby and Mum got the card sorted out too.
After that,Aida suggested we got to Nando's and I thought it was over the other side of the shopping park, forgetting there's one in the main food court which we checked what time they close and not till 9 and it was only 7:30 so we had some dinner
there, like a welcome meal really, which was nice.Being veggie I had a bean pitta burger whereas everyone else had chicken.
I did feel self conscious though, having an evening meal in the dress I only wear in the house, with no make up on and minimal jewellery, especially as Sam took a picture, not that I minded for once!
Was quite busy in there but nice, and after we went to look at another shop before it closed and then we left and they dropped us back home and Sam fitted the bulb for us and it was perfect and then they left.
Just tried to tidy up a bit later and then fell out with Alex after he told me he's working on Thursday but only after I mentioned meeting then as we arranged it! Why do I think I was going to get stood up...hmmm? Still not really talking but chatted
to Ryan at least too.
Anyways,at least the evening was a lot more fun than I thought it would be.
It did cross my mind before they called us that as it was such a lovely sunny day,I was going to go up to Troopers Hill to do a bit of writing, but never mind as I did go twice last week anyways.
Note to self-next time we have visitors,at least put on something better before they come, just in case...and not forgetting the jewels...maybe make up too...haha!
Anyways, not much else to say now so I'll leave it there for now.
