Okay. This is something I feel very strongly about so it's really very difficult for me to simplify it enough to put it into words. I've come such a long way, endured several layers of hell and learned so much to get to where I am now, so I will do my best here for this prompt. ππππ
It means respect, consent and open communication.
It means joy, comfort, empowerment and acceptance.
It means not judging, shaming, or harming yourself or others in pursuit of sexual freedoms and pleasures.
It means having control over your own body, in all best- and worst-case scenarios, in the bedroom and in legislature.
It means understanding you will never control someone else's body, no matter what relationship they are to you.
It means confidence and pride and understanding that sex is something natural and meant to be enjoyed, with no space at all for shame, guilt or repression.
And I know I've said it before, but it bears repeating:
Consent, consent, consent.
Consent is absolutely everything.
All people involved must be adults and must all be enthusiastically consenting.
And if you have that?
Then absolutely anything is possible.
