Well, I had my trial for the smoko van on Wednesday.
It was a great day! Firstly I made a friend, woo hoo
Secondly, wow, what a fantastic job. We drove around all day to building sites serving food, magazines, newspapers and drinks to all the builders. Such a nice bunch of guys, all very friendly etc.
At the moment I can't even think of a better job for myself. Good money , starts at 7:30am and the best part, finish at 2pm! So that leaves the arvo for more enjoyable things
Anyway the day went really quick, the girl who took me out on the trial kept saying all day that I was perfect for the job and it was mine if I wanted it.
So we get back after a busy day, clean up the truck and I went and talked to the owner, ok here comes the strange part, he was like 'give me your number and we may give you a call in the next couple of weeks, the problem is that we already have to many girls'. WTF earlier that day I was told that they had ten trucks and only 8 girls to drive them, so I have no idea what was going on there.
So I'm thinking the whole thing is really strange. I keep thinking maybe I don't look right or something, but he saw me on Monday when he offered me the trail so I don't know if it could be that.
And to pay me to go on the trial all day, as well as paying the other driver who was with me, me learning the sites that would be on "my" route etc only to be told that they may ring me in a couple of weeks but they have to many drivers. Very strange indeed, especially seen as the girl that took me out was on her last day with the company.
BIZZAAR...
Its just that she had pumped me up all day saying the job was mine only to be totally disappointed at the end of the day...
Oh, and the fact it was my perfect job
Oh well, I suppose there is still a possibility that they could ring me.
Not much else happening with me, I watched the amityville horror (the original one) today on dvd, and I only have one word to say about it - BORING.
Also watched Hero, what a fantastic movie! Beautiful movie, I'd say its a must see
Well thats me over and out
