Okay, I've been staying out of the whole Zimmermann/Trayvon thing because I figured that I didn't really add anything to the discussion that hasn't or wouldn't of been said hundreds of times before or after, but turns out I do have something.
Legally speaking, you can't initiate contact and then later claim self-defense or stand-your-ground. However you feel about the whole case, that's an undisputed legal fact - just as its an undisputed fact that Zimmermann initiated contact. And that's ignoring the undisputed fact that Zimmermann was told to back off by a police dispatcher and ignored it.
I'm not saying I've suddenly gotten an internet law degree, just recognizing that someone who did apparently get an internet law degree had a point from a different discussion and how it applies.
Expect some drama is what I'm saying.
