Best weekend ever!!!!!.....finally getting my disability compensation from the VA!!!!.....I submitted my claim back in February of last year and I contentiously received a letter from the VA about twice a month saying that my claim was still being looked at. So of course, I thought it was just an empty promise. With the sequester going on, I was for sure thinking that I wouldn't get anything. So I prepared myself that i wouldn't. I then received a big manilla envelope from the VA today. It was different and I opened it, and viola! It said I would get 70% disability which equates to almost $1300/month for life when I thought I would only be getting about $200-$300/month. This is with out a doubt a very humble moment for me as now, I can afford to get much needed insurance for the other things in this mystery we all call life. Today was a good day
