Last night (fri) went out to some fancy-schmancy dinner with friends for a pals b-day. The veal marsala was nothing more than shit. I wouldn't recommend it to any one and I'm kicking my own ass for eating the veal.
From there we made our way to Gambino's off Maxwell st. in downtown Lex-Vegas. The interior would make any lover of 50's retro swoon. A boom-boom room if I've ever seen one. Red Laqored (sp??) walls with shiney black trim. Mirror every where. Animal print. Shiney chrome bathroom fixtures. They seemed to spare no expense. Although all this coolness seemed to give Lexintonians an excuse to wear overly expensive clothes and act snobbish to everyone else around. For some reason a large gathering of rude, uppity people always ruins the atmosphere for me. I instantly didn't feel welcome and hated the fact that I had just paid 5 bucks just to use their bathroom. Myself and my girlfriend promptly left and went to Mia's across town to listen to some soul singers. Definately a great place if you're ever in town!
Mia's saved the night, along with a few Tom Collins... And the night was perfect for strolling, (I love to watch people by the way. Beautiful girls mostly) And I got to check out the awsome water sculpture by the new court house. Serenity.
But as for tonight... I just got through watching the Ring Two. I had to double check the back seat of my car, drive home with all the doors locked, and turn on all the lights in the house when I got home. I am a total pussy when it comes to scary shit and for some reason it sticks with me for along time. Like probably a couple of days from now I'll remember a scary part in the movie right before bedtime and I'll have heart burn and I'll have trouble sleeping. I also scream at the jumpy parts... But don't tell anyone.
So, what's your favorite scary movie??
