movie night at Pablo's:
Linklater's SubUrbia: Parker Posey and Giovanni Ribisi looking so young.....i didn't love this the first time and it's still a rough watch at times. but, some nice moments and some unreleased Sonic Youth (until the deluge of B-sides and outtakes of the early 00's and Thousand Leaves) on the soundtrack. didn't notice that seeing it at the theatre. Mayan in Denver with my old gf Katie the model. how can it be that long? the old BMW 2002 back then. nostalgia. loved that car.
Bad Influence: 80's "noir" with James Spader and Rob Lowe. not bad....seen as a noir with two very one-dimensional actors trying to go out of character (passably). a little too quick on the narrative but a nice Reagan 80's glimpse of the dark side. 80's films basically suck and have way too much synth-pop on the soundtracks, but this had a feel too it and people have real bodies (not ab explosions and silicon wonder). no LA noir would be complete without a labrea tarpits scene....and they paid homage to the genre there. through the noir lens, kinda respectable. ambiguous ending is balls in a Reagan era right/wrong popular culture.
probably should have asked Nadia home....but she's una loca.
purling hiss, nick drake, Miles Jack Johnson and VU Quine sessions on the winamp. a little puff. good to be late spring in Boulder with nothing to do.

twelve:
You dated a model and drove a BMW? Nice.
copper:
I have a Master-Lock U-lock. Should I spring for something a bit pricier, more heavy duty? I admit I'm a bit paranoid about her getting swiped.
