Two legs, 4 legs, 6, legs, 8 legs...no matter how many legs, hearts or eyes they may have; if they're family you hold dear to your heart, NEVER EVER EVER let a day go by without showing them in one way or another that they're loved dearly.

I, along with my neighbours who she belonged to, just lost my little sister of 14 years tonight...

So the house is empty.

Everybody's gone either working, out with friends or whatever else.

I have the entire place to myself.

And what am I about to do?

Blast some tunes (usually some sort of metal like Dragonforce, Ensiferum, Týr, Dream Theater, etc.) cranked to 11 and play some Diablo II -_-

Not call up a chick friend. Not go out and do some

I'm a pretty technically sound guy if I do say so myself.

Given the funds, I could build a pretty kickass PC. I can troubleshoot and diagnose 'em. I can set up a pretty decent security system and tell you what brands are great for different fields of technology. Not necessarily a Stephen Hawking or Carl Sagan level techie, but I can hold my own....

The worst for me would have to be when I get notifications to update random things like Java, Norton, etc. The reason this is annoying is because it'll do it at the worst times. Not when I'm randomly surfing the web, mind you, but usually when I'm watching a movie on Netflix or something. It seriously seems like this stuff needs to be updated every day lol. As far as names I use it's usually just a stream of expletives muttered at a just audible volume. The kind where you only catch bits and pieces.
viperr1069:
Yeah, Java seems to have another update every week or so. It's like Java 11.0.1.18.E.PX.369 Lite. Why all the goddamn decimals? If it's an update w/ minor shit, go from 3.1 to 3.2 for fuck's sake -_- Usually I just wait a few min for the system to boot up and lemme know if there's an update and then do it. But if there's none..."game on!!" The antivirus ones, though, are quite annoying. While important, they're often forced and you gotta quit whatever you're doing and hopefully be able to save any work you may be in the middle of before that 10 min countdown -- which seems like a ticking time bomb -- finishes and autoboots you. *** Haha, yeah...if I'm grumbling, I'll usually just mutter it. But if I'm downright pissed at somebody/something, I make it pretty vocal. No hiding emotions with this guy :-P

It's no secret to my circles of friends that I have a huge obsession and detailed fascination with the world of eyes. They top my list of fav body parts, especially on you women.

To round out the top 6...

1) Eyes
2) Legs
3) Ears (especially when partially peeking out of hair...uuuuhhh **swooooon**)
4) Nose
5) Smile
6) Hair

Don't get me wrong, I...

Update: There is now a Ghostbusters Lego set that has apparently been 30 years in waiting. *** http://kotaku.com/official-ghostbusters-lego-was-worth-waiting-30-years-1524057249 *** My response to this is the following: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQeKskCvJwc

Here I sit on a slow day Olympics-wise.

Curling is done for the morning, most of the hockey games are over except for the Canada/Finland one which I should be watching right now, but haven't been assed to get up off my...well...ass. I'm actually surprised I'm still this much awake and not a total zombie right now. My grand total of logged hours of sleep...

You are very welcome for my existence (how weird and creepy that sounds, teehee). You are also very welcome for random lolz that sometimes resurface out of the depths of the internetocean. Have a great weekend! :)

Hahaha!!! Maybe just a bit, but I'm pickin' up what you're puttin' down :-P Random lolz are often the best lolz...left field is always a great place to find yourself in many respects :-D Thankies, you, too ^_^

Here we are again. Valentine's Day.

Stupid holiday.

One of the most unbelievably horrid and useless days of the year.

I don't think I hate any day of the year more than this day. And it's not because of my stretch of not having a significant other to pine over, be with and generally love on this day -- or any day for that matter....

Agreed completely. I totally ignore Valentine's Day and do not buy or want presents. It's definitely the most useless holiday out there.

Yes, that's how it's pronounced, and it's Fallout 2 reference. The starting location in the game is Arroyo, so I've adjusted it a bit. Fallout is not only my favourite video game of all times (I'm currently playing Fallout 3 again), but it also brings back lovely memories of playing it with my brother when I was much younger.
viperr1069:
^5 on that. I just don't understand the thinking behind making one day a year a worldwide, commercially-driven, projectile vomit session of plastic love. Glad to see another woman that feels the same as I do on this :-) *** Aaaahhh, gotcha. I never got into the series [but I'm sure I will eventually since my two youngest brothers love it (my youngest has a raging gamer-boner for it :-P haha)], but that makes perfect sense. Good touch on changing it to a feminine A (personally, I think it sounds better feminine than masculine). Being the oldest, I have a more than a handful of games that I have pretty fond memories of playing w/ my younger brothers from console to console. Street Fighter II probably stands out the most, though. Countless hours were spent brutalizing each other X-D

So as you can tell, I was a bit annoyed.

After getting home this morning around 2:30, I started to stoke the fireplace and throw some more wood on it so that the house would stay warm 'til later this morning and into the day. And lemme dispel any thoughts that this might be leading to a story of getting burned, 'cause it's not; although,...

I was just listening to a li'l bit of the Breaking Benjamin's "Shallow Bay" (their best-of album) and all of a sudden Chevelle popped into my head; namely their song "Letter From A Thief". And the story behind the song (page 38 or just search for "letter from a thief" in the site's header toolbar) which you can also read here got me thinking...

Well here we are. The Super Bowl is over and I'm still in shock at how the game went. And as I sit here I can't help but think how things ended up this way. Lemme give ya a li'l bit of a backstory on the events, though.

I was born in and have lived in two different neighbouring cities in the Pacific Northwest (PNW)...
