Hello again! Things are much better, thanks to all who commented on my last couple of blogs. I appreciate that!
Now to a much happier topic, although late, Halloween! It is a holiday that I absolutely love, because there is that extra something about it that you can't put your finger on, but the mystery of it, makes it great.
What did I do?.................... My neighbor and I play guitar all the time, out back on my patio when the weather cooperates, so we decided to go with the Halloween spirit. We decked out the garage with candy corn lights and those cheapo plastic light up jack-o-lanterns from WalMart. Added some spider webs too, then we got out the guitars, amps, and rest of the stuff, dragged out the firepit to the driveway, and decided to play some spooky tunes for the trick-or-treaters.
My neighbor Jim's wife Marni, is a makeup artist, so she zombied and vampired us up as well.(As soon as Marni gets me the pics, I will post them) It was freaking cool! There were a ton of neighborhood parties, so after the curfew passed for the kids, we decided to attend a few, and won a bottle of Jack for our costumes. I gave Jim the bottle, I am more of a rum and tequila kinda guy. It was a blast.
Note to self on this........I have two huge dogs, one who is a big baby (Oskar) and any intruder would be greeted by him rolling over on the floor for a belly rub. The other, Zoe, who is a fierce protector of me, my family and friends, not so much into the belly rub thing when a Vampire and a Zombie enter her house!
Needless to say, we both made it out without being bitten, so we had to go back to Jim's house and ditch the makeup, excess skin, fake blood, fangs, and the rest of our costumes. Then I was able to get back into my house!
