I turned 26 yesterday and it is great! Usually on my birthday I get quite reflective and dwell on things I don't have, but yesterday was such a great day, shared with great people that the thought of anything getting me down was impossible.
One of the greatest things I have learnt recently was that family is relative. Some of us are lucky enough to have been born into a "family" that is loving supportive and loyal. They are surrounded by people who know them and love them anyway.
Then there are others who have to look for a little while and find those people. Not that there biological family hates them at all, it just might not be the best fit for everyone involved. Then they find their "family" and they get it!
I think I finally get it. I have found a fantastic family, who I know will love me forever. Even though I know they don't come on here at all, I want to say thanks to them. I love my bio aussie family and my new american family.

Here's to both families
