I had a perfect moment driving home today. Sitting at a stop light in old town, watching the rain hit the windshield and Bob Seger - yes Bob Seger- We've got tonight came on. I felt like I was in a commercial for international cafe or something. I don't like to openly admit my love of some classic rock bands - I don't know why - Boston, Bob Seger, Cheap Trick, Journey I'm sorry.
It's cold outside right now and I've been watching the windows mist up while reading with my little butter bean and waiting for Mr Zappa to come home with dinner. I'm content.
Tomorrow is St. Patrick's Day. I know it's over rated and I'm not Irish, but anything that celebrates my love of all things Celtic makes me happy. I'm hoping to get out tomorrow at some point and listen to some irish folk music, knock back a guiness, and take in the madness. There was a pub in Virginia Beach - the White Horse - that I sometimes miss. It was dark and cozy and had this crazy 8 ft picture of a bulldog dressed as a general. The best celtic rock band - whiskey before breakfast- played there. (it's shame they broke up) Tonight would be a good night to be there. I also love bagpipes and that flat drum and listening to songs of lament and the poor working class. Nothing like that to get me all pumped up. That makes me miss Gersguy. He was kicked off of here and moved to Wisconsin, but he appreciated my love of the pipes and the guiness. Had a good time with him and my sister and mallenfoto and hank last year on St. Patrick's day. Hi Sissy.
Have a good weekend everyone. I have a pair of flannel pajamas and thick socks calling my name and a hot bath if I'm lucky.

Haha.
Was it "Like a Rock"?
Thin Lizzy covered a Seger song..."Rosalee" that I love, but I don't know any of his stuff excepth "oooooohhh like a rock!" from the Chevy commercials.
I hope you get your pint of Guiness. I'm starting the hunt for mine soon.
