Please introduce yourself:
Hi, I'm @Nixon. I joined SG way back in 2003, when it was still based out of Portland.

How did you come up with your SG name?
I'm a huge Hunter Thompson fan. There's a story about Thompson's beloved Doberman Pinscher having a specific attack command to go for the nuts. That command was 'Nixon'.
How did you discover SuicideGirls? What inspired you to apply?
I had just moved to Portland when the story in the Wilamette Weekly came out with @London and @Katie on the cover, and I took one look and knew those were my people.
What was the inspiration for your debut set?
I actually don't like either of my debut sets. We shot the first two sets the same day, and at the time I didn't know yet that SG would give me so much freedom to do what I wanted. It was actually hilarious, people knew me from 'Cuddle', which is a very cute set, and 'Office Job', which is kind of vintage. And then once I knew what I was doing and started shooting sets that were much more me, I got a lot of mail from folks who were really worried about me. But to me, 'Scissorhands' was my real debut. That's when I started shooting what I wanted to shoot.

Who are some of your best friends in the SG community?
@Fractal and I are super close, and @Reagan is basically my little sister at this point.
What are some of your favorite SG sets of all time?
@manko - "Backstreet Surgery". @Amina - "Bear With me Lord". @Carol, "Tribute To"
Any fun SG-related memories or stories you'd like to share?
I got married a couple of years ago, and several of my old SG buddies from SGPDX and SGLA flew out for it. What they didn't tell me is that they all organized ahead of time to wear kilts, and when my car came around the corner and there were all of these amazing people from SGland waiting for me dressed to represent my heritage and family, and I just started crying. The friendships we make here are real, and they last a lifetime.
If you could shoot with any current team photographer who would it be?
@Talena, I think.
If you could shoot a set anywhere, in any theme, what kind of set would you shoot?
I really would love to do a Tarot-themed set as the Empress. Or go really over the top and do each photo as a separate card.
Do you have any hobbies?
I do dog rescue and fostering.
What's your "day job"?
I'm in the middle of a major pivot right now. I was a coder for a long time, and now I'm starting my own business making pet products. Starting a business is absolutely terrifying, by the way. But I’m ready to be working more with animals, which is what I love.
Do you have any pets? Tell us about them!
We have three dogs- Charrlotte and Daphne, our Pittie mixes, and Shaunday, our Poowawa.
Do you like to travel? Of all the places you've been, which was your favorite?
@Fractal and I went to Costa Rica together a few years back, and we went to a sloth sanctuary. I'm kind of shocked we're not still there, actually.
